Corey Ann Finn, a Louisville native, attended The George Washington University in Washington, DC. There she received her B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in music performance in three years. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Chancellor's Scholarship to the University of Denver College of Law for her commitment to helping others. She received her law degree in 2003.

Corey came back to Kentucky to represent impoverished individuals and families in civil cases in rural Kentucky with Appalachian Research and Defense Fund of Kentucky. She returned to Louisville in 2007 where she has been in private practice representing individuals in a variety of matters, including toxic exposure, employment, and personal injury cases.

In 2010, she tried a case against a brokerage firm, its former CEO and its CFO, in which the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of her client for fraud.
