Birth Control Pill Recall: Pfizer Recalls Pills

In maybe one of the dumbest moves in pharma history, Pfizer has made a huge error in the packaging of some of its birth control pills. According to Pfizer, it accidentally placed placebo or dummy pills in the slots designated for the pills containing the active birth control ingredient. Therefore, the user's birth control regimen was interrupted, leading to potential unwanted pregnancies. As a result of its error, Pfizer is recalling the birth control pills.

No word from the company yet about whether they will pay for the unwanted pregnancies. Given my experience litigating against big pharma, I wouldn't hold my breath ...
