Attorneys representing Mirapex victims held a trial in July and August 2008, resulting in a $8.2 million dollar verdict. Mirapex, a drug for RLS (restless leg syndrome), Parkinson's Disease and MS, can cause compulsive behavior such as compulsive gambling, excessive spending, overeating and some sexual addiction side effects. The first and only trial to date, held by the Minnesota MDL court, involved a plaintiff who alleged financial losses of more than $200,000. The jury awarded those damages as well as more than $7 million in punitive damages against the drug companies.

The attorneys at Jones Ward PLC currently represent dozens of individuals who have taken Mirapex and experienced the horrific side-effects of compulsive behavior, including gambling, that have wrecked lives and torn apart families. There is a hearing scheduled for December 3, 2010, regarding the claims of fraud against the makers of Mirapex.

Recall Attorney: Recalled Cribs

January 15, 2011, by JONES WARD PLC

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC") has once again announced yet another voluntary recall of cribs. In the most recent recall, the Heritage Collection 3-in-1 drop-side cribs are being recalled due to risks of entrapment and injury. The recall effects 34,000 cribs that were imported from Vietnam. The recalled cribs were sold exclusively at Kmart stores from February 2007 through October 2008 for about $130.

Consumers should stop using the recalled cribs and call Victory Land Group to receive a free repair kit. Posted by Louisville, Kentucky lawyer Larry Jones. Larry can be reached at larry@jonesward.com or by using his toll-free number 1-888-KYLAW22.
